:: Waymon Hudson at Bilerico has an update post on one of the interesting subplots in this year's outing of ABC's hit, Ugly Betty. In case you don't watch it (and you should), Betty's nephew Justin (superbly played by Mark Indelicato) "is an effeminate, musical-loving, fashion designing, tap dancing, kid" who's been given a subplot in the last few episodes making it look like -- just maybe -- he's developed a high-school crush. When he discovers they both like musicals, Justin befriends a hunky and, as Hudson puts it, "rough and tumble jock" from school. This week's episode featured an all-too-true development in the subplot: "Justin's potential suitor gets teased by his jock friends and ends up cruelly and publicly telling Justin to leave him alone. It's something many of us (and many youth today) can relate to." The episode can be watched online.
:: An online Japanese lingerie retailer has found an unlikely top-seller in bras made especially for men. The Wishroom shop on Rakuten, a major Japanese web shopping mall, has sold over 300 men's bras for 2,800 yen ($30) each in the two weeks since adding them to their virtual shelves. "I like this tight feeling. It feels good," Wishroom representative Masayuki Tsuchiya told Reuters as he modeled the bra, which can be worn discreetly under men's clothing. The shop also stocks men's panties. No word on how they're selling. (Not to be confused with the tattooed Aussie surfer-thugs who call themselves "Bra Boys".)
:: Hyderabad -- India's 4th largest city, and a center for IT companies -- is the most sexually tolerant place in India. The city's unique cultural history as a melting pot attracting residents from around the subcontinent and, now, from around the world, allows queer folk to live more openly there compared to other places in India. All that makes it comparable in India to what San Francisco became in the US. "The eye that looks carefully will see LGBTs everywhere," writes Sudhakar Krishnamurti in a "Sex" special edition of India Today. "Acceptance is important and the real reason why Hyderabad tops gay lists is because it is sexually a very tolerant and accepting place. I would even say 'evolved'. It is perhaps the least homophobic of all Indian cities."

:: DNA Magazine #107 features up-and-coming Brazilian model Edilson Nascimento on its cover and pages modeling the latest hot summer (down under, after all) underwear ranges. Just last month, Towleroad featured the Brazilian beauty modeling (via Made in Brazil) a hat that he manages to make look very sexy. We feature Edilson in a screen-size wallpaper version, just in case you think you could concentrate with him on your screen.
