::   Marriage equality was one of the issues discussed during a sometimes-tense debate last night between Sacramento's two candidates for mayor. Former NBA star Kevin Johnson is challenging two term incumbent Mayor Heather Fargo. Johnson said, "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman, but that (it) is not my position to impose that. I do not believe that anybody should be discriminated against." Fargo reiterated her support. "I think people who love each other should be able to get married, regardless of whether they're a same sex couple or not."

::   A Church in Wales electoral college of 46 people including four Welsh diocesan bishops begins the secret formal process today of electing a new Bishop of Bangor -- a post that many believe may be filled by an openly gay clergyman. Very Rev Jeffrey John, Dean of St Albans, and a celibate gay man,  is considered a top nominee for the post. He speaks Welsh, and traditionally the post is held by a Welsh speaker. During the nomination process that is closed to the public, any candidate who receives two-thirds of the votes of those present is declared bishop-elect. Otherwise, the college returns to the nomination stage and the cycle starts afresh.

::   A Catholic priest at Saint Paul Newman Center in Fresno was suspended from the priesthood after telling parishioners during his Sunday morning closing remarks that the church is wrong in not supporting marriage equality and that he's gay. The reaction among the congregation was mixed, with about half the congregation giving him a standing ovation. Father Geoffrey Farrow said parishioners asked how they should vote on Proposition 8, the measure banning marriage equality, and he had to follow his heart. Bishop John Steinbock of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno, who supports Proposition 8, said Farrow has cleared out his office and his parish residence.

twins2_DNAtwins_dna         ::   Identical twins Travis and Troy posed photographer Bruno Rand. Some of the results show up in the current issue Aussie super-gay mag DNA. The 6'1" models are represented by Front Management. Nothing newsworthy about that, but it's a slow gossip day, and... well, why not.
