EDINBORO, Pa. -- College wrestler and onetime-porn hunk Paul Donahoe attended his first class at Edinboro University on Monday.

Donahoe, who was kicked off the Nebraska wrestling team this month after appearing on gay porn website Fratmen.tv, transferred last week to the Pennsylvania school and may compete during the second semester, Edinboro coach Tim Flynn has said.

"Getting Paul is absolutely wonderful," said senior Gregor Gillespie, one of Donohoe's new teammates "I think he will make us better and he will fit in great."

Gillespie won an NCAA title in 2007, the same season Donahoe won at 125 pounds. Donahoe was third last year, Erie Times-News reports.

Donahoe and Kenny Jordan were booted from the Husker team on Aug. 12. NU Athletic Director Tom Osborne said then that Donahoe and Jordan broke NCAA rules twice in five months. Osborne made public a March incident in which the wrestlers had been ruled ineligible for receiving an extra benefit before having their eligibility restored, Omaha World Herald reports.

Flynn said Donahoe must meet NCAA transfer requirements and will not be able to compete until at least the end of the first semester for the NCAA Division I program. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

"I have two goals," Donahoe told the Erie Times-News on Monday. "I want to become the first two-time NCAA champ from two different schools. And I want to help the team get a trophy."

Two of Donahoe's former high school teammates told the Flint Journal that they were taken aback by the news earlier this month of Donohoe's porn job, but are hopeful he will emerge from the situation in a positive manner.

"I was shocked about the whole thing when I heard about it and it's really sad when some little stupid fling that he did puts him in such a tough situation," said Kyle Chittick, who now wrestles at Cleveland State University. "This is something I never even thought I'd ever hear about Paul, but I really feel bad for him that this one bad decision gets blown up so much. I don't think that's justified."

Chittick said he spoke with Donahoe soon after the news broke.

"I think he is more worried about his future in wrestling than anything else and this is the last thing he wanted to deal with as his senior year is coming up," Chittick said.
